Scam Case Files

Scam Case Files

Spot the lie. Stop the loss.

You work for a fictional fraud-response unit. Someone hands you a phone and asks you to prove what is really happening — before the money moves.

Read the messages, the emails, the photographs, the documents, the browser history and the transactions. Pin the details that do not survive scrutiny. Set two of them against each other and prove the contradiction. Map what you have onto the Scam Chain, choose how and when to intervene, and live with the ending you earn.

This app is fiction. Every person, company, platform, domain, document and transaction in it is invented. It does not scan your real messages, accounts or device — it cannot, because it never asks for access to any of them. It is not legal, financial or law-enforcement advice.

The cases

CaseScamAt riskAccess
The Perfect Match Romance and fake investment $12,000 Free
The Dream Apartment Rental deposit fraud $2,800 Starter Pack
The Urgent Boss Executive impersonation $18,500 Starter Pack

The first case is free and stays free. The Starter Case Pack is a one-time purchase that unlocks the other two permanently — there is no subscription, no energy timer and no advertising.

It is a game, not a scanner

The learning is a side effect of playing well, not a claim on the tin. Working a case teaches you the shape of a real scam — the manufactured urgency, the story that moves the payment off-platform, the detail that contradicts a detail from three days earlier — because those are the things you have to notice in order to win.

What it will never do is tell you that a message on your own phone is safe. It cannot see your phone. No app that can read your messages should be trusted to make that call for you either, which is rather the point.

If you think a real scam is happening right now: pause the payment first — time pressure is the tool, so removing it removes most of the risk. Then contact your bank or payment provider using a number or app you found yourself, never one supplied by the person asking for money. Keep the messages rather than deleting them, and report it to the authorities where you live. More on the support page.

Built to need nothing

No account, no sign-in, no internet connection. The app requests no permissions at all — not contacts, not photos, not the camera, not the microphone, not your location. Your progress lives on your device and nowhere else, because there is no server for it to live on.
